Lurking Llamas is thrilled to announce the launch of North+Sur, a media platform dedicated to the principles of liberal democracy, multilateral cooperation, strong institutions, sustainable development, and an equitable, rules-based international order.

North+Sur is primarily, though not exclusively, focused on the Americas—from north to south—and will cover topics related to international relations as well as regional and domestic politics across the hemisphere.

The aim of North+Sur is to provide readers and followers with content produced and fact-checked by relevant experts. We live in a complicated world, made no easier to understand by the constant barrage of media and social media outlets, along with actors seeking to spread disinformation, rage bait, and simplistic, biased narratives. You can expect none of that from North+Sur. Instead expect high-quality, informative, context-driven work, that provides an accurate panorama of the questions at hand.

As a media platform, North+Sur will be available in a variety of formats. One such format is its bilingual newsletter, available on Substack (see the subscription link in the comments). Today marks the launch of the newsletter, and in the coming weeks North+Sur will expand to additional formats.
